American Board of Clinical Pharmacology, Inc.
Background:
The American Board of Clinical Pharmacology, Inc. (ABCP) was established with the cooperation of the American College of Clinical Pharmacology, the American Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics, and the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics. The ABCP is an independent corporation not affiliated or sponsored by these or any other organizations.

The major objectives of the ABCP are:

Evaluate the training credentials, the scientific research and teaching accomplishments of individuals.

Prepare and administer examinations for individual certification in clinical and applied pharmacology.

Register and accredit training programs in clinical pharmacology.

Diplomates may receive certification in either or both "Clinical Pharmacology" and "Applied Pharmacology" by meeting the application criteria for each exam and passing examinations for each certification.
